How often do you laugh?
Do you want to do an experiment?
Put a little piece of paper and a pen into your pocket. Throughout the day, whenever you laugh, take a moment to jot down how you felt directly after the laugh. You don’t even have to think much about how you’re feeling- just jot it down quickly and go about your day. At the end of the day, read your notes.
I’m guessing that after laughing, you felt:
Lighter
Happier
Like your problems mattered less, even if only for a second
In reality, these following results will also have taken place:
Improved immune system
Improved digestion
Improved memory
Improved outlook on life
Improved heart function and blood pressure
Less pain
Increased endorphin level
More energetically vibrant
Improved relationship with the person you were laughing with
Improved response to problems
Also, you’ll experience spiritual enlightenment, as laughter forces you to live in the moment, which means you were living in “the now” rather than in the future or the past. (Living in the now is another way to raise your spiritual vibration levels.)
Scientific studies prove that patients who were prescribed laughter healed much faster than the patients who were given the same medicine but not prescribed laughter. Even if you don’t believe that to be true, you at least know that it can’t hurt to try, right? I mean, as long as you’re not popping stitches open or anything!
In my book, Vibration Experiment, laughter is described as being a form of sound healing.
Here is another experiment for you to try:
For an entire day, whenever you hear anyone laugh, stop and really pay attention to the sound. Don’t judge, just notice how listening to it makes you feel. That will increase your vibes!
There is a type of yoga called Laughter Yoga. The School of Laughter Yoga was founded by Dr. Madan Kataria. He teaches and certifies people to become Laughter Yoga instructors. If you know me and want to try it out, you can hire me to lead you through a Laughter Yoga class. Yes, that’s right- I am a certified Laughter Yoga teacher.
The way it works, depending on who is teaching the class, might include exercises like the following:
Laughing just to laugh
Fake laughter that usually turns into real laughter
Laughing in specific ways
Clapping while laughing (clapping stimulates the acupressure points on your hands)
Interacting with others while laughing- like looking at someone face-to-face
The mental floss game (visualizing the mucky thoughts being flossed out of your brain)
What if you’re feeling too miserable for the attempt at fake laughter to become real laughter?
That’s okay!
Your brain and body don’t really differentiate between fake and real laughter, so you can get the benefits either way.
Do you see how laughter doesn’t have to be about already being joyful, that it can actually be about creating joy? Motion creates emotion. Laughter, even if it starts out as fake, is the motion. Therefore just by laughing, you create your own emotions.
You are the master of your own universe, your vibe level and your joy. And you can raise others’ levels along the way!
Your laughter makes the divine beings very happy!
