Ganesh, also known as Ganesha or Ganapati, is the part of the divine that removes obstacles.
Can you even imagine having obstacles cleared away for you before they cause you to stumble? I’m talking all kinds of obstacles, including physical pain, pessimism, feelings of not being good enough, feelings of not having enough, lack of knowledge, lack of patience, fear of the future, fear of change, worry about the past, habitually making excuses and on and on and on.
If you want help with any of these areas, call on the remover of obstacles.
You decide how you communicate with Ganesh- there are lots of ways. A lot of people chant, and a lot of people use personal thoughts or prayers. Some communicate with Ganesh as a separate god, and some as one part of the one and only divine being.
Dare I say, there is no wrong way? I do dare, because that’s what I believe. If you don’t believe in Ganesh or in any type of remover of obstacles, you still at least believe in yourself, right? You have the power to change things, and you have the option to reach out for help anytime you choose.
When deciding what to ask for from Ganesh, know this:
He looks like part elephant with an elephant head and a human body. This helps portray how powerful he is. There is a story about how this depiction of him came to be. Some say it’s a true story, and some say it’s a myth. Either way…
He embodies wisdom.
He paves ways for fresh, new, uninhibited beginnings, success and good luck.
Ommm, or AUM, is an appropriate chant to connect with the vibrations of the elephant power.
He can take away fear and apprehension.
He relieves pressure and will help pave the way for you to forge ahead.
He works on spiritual, physical and mental levels, paving the path to your soul.
He helps you find the truth inside of you as well as outside of you.
He reduces selfishness and helps keep you safe.
He helps you change to be more like the person you want to be.
He helps you be able to admit your truth so that you can be honest with yourself and others.
He destroys sin and the knots that tie up your heart and thoughts.
Ganesh is love in action.
Evoking or praying to the remover of obstacles helps you feel free and liberated to be YOU!
When all of that junk is removed from your path, you feel enthusiastic, optimistic, resilient, committed, grateful and curious enough to continue ahead with your plans passionately.
Many times in life, the reasons we feel held back are actually more a part of what’s going on in our hearts and heads than what is going on in reality. Simple positive thoughts that you send out into the world will seep into your subconscious and can change everything so that it all works out in your favor.
You have to power to change things, and you have the option to reach out for help anytime you choose.
Evoke your elephant power!
