Did you know that rap can be enlightening?
People living in our society often take the reputation of one and apply it to many.
Many people take his or her own opinion and believe that anything that differs from that is somehow wrong.
Well, I don’t like it.
You know what? Ice cream is delicious when it melts, a stinky smell can heal energies inside of you until the aroma smells good to you, and yoga can be fun and loud!
I feel like rap music gets a bad rep because of the vulgar language used in a lot of the rap songs that happen to be out there in mainstream music, but that doesn’t have to stop you from enjoying rap music as a whole.
In fact, I like to turn mantras into rap. Why not? Sure, slowing down is good for you. On the other hand, if you’re looking to raise your vibes, seeking more energetic vibe levels through fast rap might be just the thing that sparks your spirit.
MC Yogi is a famous rapper who sings yoga themed lyrics. He’s absolutely incredible. I recommend you to take a listen.
So that you can get an idea of what he raps about, here are some of his song titles:

You can write rap songs, too!
I can help you write your own rap mantras by giving you the easiest, most meaningful rhyming words I can think of. These are Bija Mantras, which are the sounds for meditating on your 7 main energy centers, or chakras. The first 5 all have the same short “a” sound. The last two have the long “o” sound.
You can make a rap out of those words, right? You can keep it private and just let it enlighten you inside your heart and soul as you keep your brain focused on the words and feel your meditation continue all throughout the day!
Here’s the rap I wrote for “Vibration Experiment”
Go ahead and
memorize it, sing it to yourself throughout the day and let it guide you.
Then sing it to your co-workers and see how jazzed up you can get them to raise
their spiritual vibes. (Then write me a note about how it went… I can hardly
wait!)
Vibration Experiment Rap (A Fun Mantra)
–
It’s all a big experiment
within my soul.
I play on my path—
That is the goal.
–
I trust my inner guidance,
I won’t be led astray.
I don’t know my path yet—
But, see … that’s okay!
–
I play with my spirit,
I play with my vibes.
Check in with the universe—
It’s what it prescribes.
–
It’s all a big experiment,
Yes, life is.
I play with vibin’ higher
To heal my biz.
–
I heal my mind,
And heal my bod.
It’s in my spirit
Where I find my god.
–
Hope in my heart,
But fear in my head?
I focus on my heart—
Forget that dread!
–
It’s all a big experiment,
Yes, life is.
I play on my journey—
It is what it is!
