When I wonder what the point of my life is, I feel unsettled until I think, “to raise vibes”.
So, I thought I’d blog about the good I saw come out of the pandemic.
I know my last blog was about reasons the pandemic was happening, but I don’t remember what I wrote (it was a long time ago. When I write, I like to be working on my next book, which I’ll tell you about later). And I’m purposefully not reading it now; it’s a little game I’ll call, “see how they match up”.
First off, I know a LOT of disasters and trauma happened with the pandemic, and I do not ever want to downplay that, but as a spiritual being in a human body I like to look for a universal purpose to otherwise negative events.
My favorite positive: I have noticed unlikely friendships forming. Rather than looking only within their peer group, people are grateful to have anyone to talk to, and this opens up doors to forming connections they wouldn’t have otherwise bothered with.
People are happy to be able to do mundane tasks that used to feel like a pain in the butt, like grocery shopping, where you get to see humans interacting.
I used to rather stay home than chance being bored out, but now I value being bored out because at least there’s some interaction.
I hope people realize spending less time at work and more time with people is important.
I hope you took the opportunity to quiet your mind and let your spirit emerge. I hope you got to know your true self, that’s your inner self, better. When we’re forced to slow down physically and mentally, it’s because that’s what our spirit needs.
What good came out of the pandemic for you?
P.S. I’m still looking forward to hearing stories of people who met for the first time with their masks on and what happened later in the unveiling of faces. Hopefully we’ll all value each other’s smiles so much more!
